My name is Emma, I’m a country girl who grew up in a picturesque village as one of four girls from a loving and (sometimes) chaotic family. Every family I meet is different with their very own story to be told, I love taking the care to tell each story. At the heart of my work is a passion for photographing people, everyone feels at ease in front of my camera.

The experience is fun and brings the whole family together. My personable approach keeps the kids interested and creates a comfortable environment. One in which you and your family feel relaxed, creating room for those unexpected moments, natural expressions and smiles!
1995, Out to Sea
My focus is for others to feel seen and empowered. The artwork I produce treasures the feelings and memories of childhood. Each family photo session I approach with the curiosity of what a family will show me rather than a preconceived idea of what I can mould them into.

What I love most about working with children is their honesty. I take pride in photographing families, revealing the beautiful and tender moments that happen in a split second; gestures, in-jokes, even tantrums. My distinct fine art documentary style compliments these moments in time.
I graduated from University with a First Class BA (Hons) in Photography. Here I spent my days working with a wide variety of film cameras and darkroom printing. Now, I shoot with the discipline demanded by film with the freedom offered by digital.
